Ginpole unit base frame is built in high grade aluminum box section frame work and boom in high grade seamless steel section. Ginpole is designed specially for slickline operations

Unit is sturdy but light weight by construction, comes in a multi split type configuration with four section boom assembly, designed for use as a self–Jacking (standing) & self-supporting structure for slickline operations

An auxiliary transportation skid will carry the inetrmideate and top boom which sheave head. A small swivel base crane with chain block on the skid will enables to easy maneuverability of the booms assembly prior to erect the ginpole / mast vertically

The Ginpole is fitted with a hydraulic winch, rated for capacity of 4,400 lbs. It comes with an internal brake to protect free falling in the event of hydraulic failure and fast re-spooling system

The Ginpole Safe Lifting Working Load using the winch is 1 metric Ton. Positive Mechanical boom locking system

One storage/tool box is provided within the Ginpole frame

Ginpole can be rigged-up within 20 to 25 minutes by two trained and certified operators

SAFETY & Operation


  1. During Rig-up and Rig down: Max wind speed 25 to 30 mph
  2. Ginpole should be secured to deck with the help of guy ropes in case of high winds above 30 mph
  3. During operation: Max wind speed with guy ropes 60 mph


  1. Unguyed to deck: Max wind speed 30 mph
  2. Guyed to deck: Max wind speed below 60 mph
  3. Ginpole position during rip up 90º

Ginpole is manually extended, hydraulically vertically positioned , and mechanically locked with positive locking mechanism

The Fixed Operator Console

The operator console is built with stainless steel machine engraved English letters color coded and is equipped with:

  1. Hydraulic pressure gauge 0 - 3,000 PSI
  2. Ginpole hook block lift / down
  3. Ginpole boom rig-up / rig-down selector valve


Operation of Ginpole is done from standard close-loop hydraulic power pack. Hydraulic connections from Power Pack to Ginpole skid are done stands to quick connect fittings

Unit will be certified by third party with the following scope of work

  1. Non destructive load test
  2. Column load test
  3. Unit performance test data will be issued in “FAT Report / Certificate of conformance” after unit qualification tests with customer wittness

Signs & Decals

Where ever applicable signs & decals required will be placed

  1. All reservoir capacity
  2. Unit daily checklist
  3. Starting procedure
  4. Danger signs near rotating devices
  5. All hydraulic hoses & electrical cables will be tagged with the unique identification nos
  6. SWL of the unit labeled on side and top of the unit
  7. Placards as required during shipping etc


All steel materials are sandblasted to Sa 2 ½, inorganic zinc primer coated and all aluminum materials are primed, painted to customer supplied color code with three coat marine grade paint products
